The days are getting longer and the sun is (almost) still out as you’re leaving work and that can only mean one thing; spring is nearly here! With the start of spring now upon us, it’s time to start looking back at our wardrobe and reshaping our own personal collections so that we’ve got the perfect pieces to create our own new season fits. Last year’s SS20 runways area a great way to tap into the predicted styles for 2020’s spring and summer seasons, so let’s take a look at what we can expect to see people wearing in the next few seasons.

The Colour Red

Since last summer, the fiery hue has been on an upward trajectory - brands from every corner of the menswear industry have been sending outfits filled with bursts of red down the runway, so it’s a look that we’re pretty certain will stick around for at least another spring/summer season. Manymen’s streetwear brands chose outerwear as their canvas of choice for the colour red, so expect to find lots of hoodies, jackets, windbreakers, and parkas adorning a bold crimson shade!

Practical Fashion

Practicality has recently become intertwined with runway fashion - we’re seeing new materials and items hitting the runway for the first time in decades, giving a creative change of pace to the looks that we’ve been seeing. Fleece has made a huge comeback; pieces that were previously exiled to the wilderness are now being rocked by influencers the world over, giving their warm and comfortable twist to any fit.

Cargo pants also returned to the scene this season, bringing larger than life pockets and a workwear vibe to your outfits. Whether you’re opting for drawstring editions which carry a more casual style or straight fitting pieces that can be worn in almost any setting, you’re sure to have a great look that blurs the line between utility and modern fashion.

Performance Gear

Over the past few years, it’s seemed like performance attire has been absolutely everywhere, but that’s no surprise considering how popular the athleisure trend has been. Performance gear is ideally suited to the gym, and with the new year - new you ideology still full in play, there’s never been a better time to snag yourself a newtracksuit or three to keep you feeling and looking great as you work out, head for a run, or relax on the sofa.

Sport stripes are a solid look for the gym, mixing muted black tones with pops of bright colour, with side-taping remaining an on-point favourite, so be sure to keep an eye out for these pieces as you’re browsing for the hottest new gym wear.
